Please dont buy fish from there. Worst.
Today we brought king fish worth $31 and while cleaning I noticed that the fish was getting shreaded, then after cooking I realized that we cant eat that, it was very old / bad.
Everything here is over priced.
Also the guy who is cutting the fish is not doing what we ask. Last time when I went to buy fish I told him I am confused if I can go with that particular fish, let my husband come will confirm then…by the time my husband came, he gave us the cutted fish telling your fish. My husband didnt want to create a scene so we took it and left.
Today we told him curry cut, and he cut as if he liked.. very big mass of fish. I dont know, is he mad?
Also note the poor quality of the fish they served today. Please be cautious.

One star less for the cost of items. Same items are way less costlier if you can till scarborough (10 mins on a car)
Hello South Asiyan Supermarket owners, I would like to raise a complaint about a particular person who roams your stores, his name is Damar Monkeyvarnin. he is a pest to everything he comes across and i would like you guys or girls to ban him. Other than that I love the store and it's abundance of Tamilian products. I have to say the chubby drink here is quite delectable. I would leave a 5 star review but because of that person/reason i can't go above a 4 star unfortunately. I would also like to say to increase and diversify your selection of KurKure. Other than these complaints this store is very nice and has a wide selection of products.
You can find a variety of products of Sri Lankan origin. Some rare meat and fish items that you can’t find in Canada are available here. For example Mutton and fish caught in Sri Lankan seas(i.e Thalapath) It will be great if they can show the prices of items as much as possible. Ayurvedic medical products and vegetables of Sri Lankan origin(Gotukola, Ash Plantain, etc.) are available too.
It is a store with convenience in terms of accessibility, long opening hours, Indian groceries, some veggies and some non veg/sea food items. I'm a regular visitor with a fairly decent experience but won't recommend the fresh non-veg/sea food items due to its unhygienic settings.
I've been going to south asian supermarket for years now and they have been great! All of the workers are extremely nice and helpful and always make my day. The lady working in the back is always working hard and incredibly nice to all of the customers and never loses a smile. 10/10 would recommend!
This store has a wide array of Sri Lankan and South Indian goods. They have a very good collection of meat and fish as well, and the store.emoyees in the butchery section are very helpful and informative.
Overall, there is amole parking and the staff here are very friendly.
