Brilliant exhibition on Serge Gainsbourg! I believe it's a preview of what would be available to see in the upcoming Gainsbourg museum. You can see some of his belongings such as books, shoes, and manuscripts. There is some English information too, which is a nice touch. It's not very big, I finished it in about one hour on a not busy afternoon. A must visit for Gainsbourg fans! And it's FREE! Just grab an electronic ticket when you scan your bags at the BPI entrance. Not much stuff about Jane Birkin if you are into her.

Freezing.. absolutely freezing.. couldn't study as much as I wanted to.. I don't think I'm gonna come again. I think it's only worthwhile to come here if the weather is nice, otherwise not possible to study..

A very cool library with 2 floors ! Calm and clean. It’s a very great place to study or work. Free WiFi to use ! Highly recommend

It is a nice place to study, but only sometimes. As it is almost the only place for studying that is opened until late in the weekends, almost every parisien come to the BPI, so it is always super crowded and the WiFi doesn't work very well.

Absolutely loved the library here. Great big spaces, thousands and thousands of books, and WiFi to get your work done. I was super impressed with how busy it was and how many people were actually using it. Libraries back home are certainly not like this one. Highly recommend.

Very nice library in the heart of Paris. Unfortunately you have to wait a lot to enter. They have a huge choice of graphic novels and a place with a lot of video games !

Very modern and delicate library neighboring the famous modern art museum. The mobile app called affluences works perfect to view the up-to-date waiting time. It is a great place to study/work but it becomes overcrowded (1-2 hours of waiting) on weekends from September to July. Beware of pickpockets and never leave your belongings unattended!
