Pros and cons:
It’s obviously crowded bc it Washington DC
But some areas are not crowded near the Lincoln Memorial it’s jammed packed but down or near the water area it’s less crowded in my opinion I manage to eat food but you get surround by ducks so I would recommend you carefully move than a way Un like me I got swarmed by ducks fun experience tho
**PROBABLY IMPORTANT**
1. I recommend you plan where you are
going especially if you have a group I would say you wear something that stands out if you’re in a group you’ll could get lost easily
DO NOT WEAR YELLOW IN MY OPINION

**yellow is the first option people pick so wear something in uncommon but noticeable**
And please do not wear black

2. Bring something to eat:
Walking around D.C is tiring
I would say something that’s like a lunchbox or just a bag bring especially water

3. If you’re not bringing a camera do not use up your battery like I did it was not fun powering off my phone on and off for pictures you need to have for memories etc

4. Last of all have fun 👏

This one one of my favorite memorials at the Washington Mall. It is very impressive and informative with all the facts from the Korean conflict. It had me in awe, the amount of casualties amazes me.

The Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC is a must-see attraction for anyone visiting the city. This stunning monument is dedicated to one of the most beloved presidents in American history, Abraham Lincoln. The memorial is situated on the western end of the National Mall and is one of the most iconic and recognizable landmarks in the United States. Visitors to the memorial can explore the beautiful marble structure and take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding area.

The history of the Lincoln Memorial is as fascinating as the monument itself. The idea for the memorial was first proposed in 1867, just two years after Lincoln's assassination. However, it would be many years before the memorial would become a reality. The memorial was finally dedicated in 1922, and it has since become a symbol of American democracy and freedom. The 19-foot statue of Lincoln seated inside the memorial is a masterpiece of art and a testament to the enduring legacy of this great man.

Visiting the Lincoln Memorial is an experience that is both humbling and inspiring. Standing before the larger-than-life statue of Lincoln, one cannot help but feel a sense of reverence for this great leader and the sacrifices he made for the nation. The beautiful surroundings of the memorial, including the reflecting pool and the Washington Monument in the distance, add to the grandeur of the experience. Whether you are a history buff or simply someone who appreciates beautiful art and architecture, a visit to the Lincoln Memorial is an unforgettable experience that should not be missed.

Immediately became one of my favourite memorials following my first visit of the completed memorial. Beautifully done and a must see on the national mall.

Memorial is under construction for improvements. Can’t wait to visit when it gets completed.
