The lovely lady on the phone very kindly helped me to locate our great grandmother's grave, a 1919 pauper's grave. The cemetery buried our Italian immigrant nonna who had died on the ship coming over to this country with only her young children in tow. Can you imagine how frightening it was for the children and how amazing it was for Mt. Olivet to take care of their mother this way. Thank you for what you did over a century ago for us and many other families in similar circumstances. And thank you for what you did today -- helping to understand and now be able to tell Philomena's story and for the gracious, sensitive way you took care of me, over a century later. This is a very beautiful place. My grandparents, great grandfather & my grandma best friend is there. They keep the place very upkept. Anything that may b wrong, the office takes very good care of anytine that needs to be done. 🙏🙏
My family has been coming here since early 1900. We often will come here and do some maintenance and share lunch and stories. I love this cemetery.
my grandparents are buried here and other family members....it's a really beautiful resting place..with lots of history...wish it stayed open a little later but other than that it's a well kept cemetery..workers do a fine job.. thank you for keeping it clean..
Very disappointed at the staff.
Inside of the mausoleum, the Leaves and garbage were never picked up. Vases broken on the floor with glass cracked and spilled. The small garden in the middle with mud. My father is currently in a niche inside the mausoleum. I put a Virgin Mary statue and statue of an angel with a light and always went every day to clean and make sure there was no garbage. Today i saw that they threw out everything i had left for my father without any prior notice or even a note letting people know They were going to throw the things out . Almost 9 months Going every single day to clean by my father’s little spot and now they decided to throw out everything that has value to me . Unacceptable. Throwing out Christmas stuff I knew was going to happen they should of put a sign so sad I have my father there. Completely disappointed.

Disappointed that none of the leaves were removed. Raked a HUGE pile so that I was able to place my grandparents Christmas blanket on their grave. Its already December... most of the leaves should have been tended to. 🥺🥺
The gates closing at 4:30.. as a working person it is very hard for me to make it there on time to visit my mother . Otherwise the cemetery itself is very beautiful and well maintained.
