I visited 12/29/23:
A must place to visit! History before your eyes! It’s fascinating to see how people lived back then! And the engineering they did to place those stones is amazing! If you do plan on going, plan on driving about two hours- if you’re coming from London. Once there, you will see the ticket office. Then you will proceed to their museum. They have a replica of a village they lived in (Very Impressive). Please keep in mind, the stones are far from the visiting center but they do provide buses or if you like you can walk their trail, so please wear good shoes. You can’t touch the stones, it’s been roped off so don’t plan on it. I hear that you can do a private tour that will allow you to walk around the stones but I didn’t see it. They do have a cafeteria that serves good food and snacks and they also have restroom facilities. If you are still undecided— the stones are sinking so you may never get a second chance to see them— go and check them out!
A rich historical site To this day, we still don't know why the creator created it. Really, if you look at it as just a rock It will just be a rock and you will think it's not worth a visit. But I would like to encourage you to look at it from another angle. "It's one of the wonders of the world."

Iconic prehistoric stone arrangements, well preserved and easily accessible either by bus or a 2km walk up a gentle slope. The visitors centre and site museum are about 10 years old and very informative. The cafe and gift shop are very good and there are clean toilets onsite. Ample parking available too.

Long walk but easy. Fairly close to stones, would've liked a better walk round. Also can't see why dogs aren't allowed on the last bit. They wouldn't be near the stones. Means groups have to split up.

Stonehenge has always been something I have wanted to see. To see the magnitude of the rocks, to wonder how they were placed and what purpose it was for.
Be sure to chat to the staff at the top close to the viewing site was very informative.
Truly an amazing place to visit.

A very powerful place. Magical during the solstice. The car park is a 30-minute walk from the stones (there is a shuttle service from the parking lot). If you want to go for free, park in Larkhill village - you'll get close to the stones but won't go all the way around them.

A rare prehistoric site that captures the mystery of the past, the walk around the stone circle and mounds is a thrilling experience, the exhibition at Visitors' Centre supported by the audio app is quite informative and useful. It's advisable to travel early in the morning so that we can avoid crowds, a must visit to understand the antiquity of life
