Title: Mixed Feelings About Sear at Marriott Marquis Atlanta
I recently had the opportunity to lunch at Sear located in the Marriott Marquis Atlanta, where I'm a Lifetime Gold Elite Member with Marriott Bonvoy. The food was top-notch, matching the high standards you would expect from a Marriott establishment. The ambiance and seating were also as expected, providing a comfortable dining experience.
However, my experience took a downturn when it came to the beverage service. Despite requesting a glass of wine, the server seemed unprepared and uninformed about their wine offerings. It took 15 minutes for her to return without a wine list, attributing it to another restaurant on the atrium level, which was quite puzzling. I finally settled for a "I don't know what I'm going to get" Sauvignon Blanc, which took an additional 10 minutes to arrive.
In a city like Atlanta, internationally renowned and known for business lunches often accompanied by a glass of wine, this lapse in service was both surprising and disappointing. It took away from what could have been an entirely pleasant experience. Unfortunately, my feedback to the Marriott Marquis management went unanswered, adding another layer of disappointment to my visit.
Overall, while the culinary experience was excellent, the beverage service requires significant improvement for Sear to truly match the Marriott standard of excellence.

Almost everything was really good. One complaint is a few of the plates were stained, not dirty but old stains (please do something about that). Upon arrival. were greeted by Anthony. He was nice and very personable, he greeted us with a smile and he also seated us. Our waiter was Sam: he was also personable, very nice and he checked on us several times to ensure we were ok. Reggie was our chef: he repeated our order to ensure his accuracy, smiled, talked and made us laugh several times and cooked our food with love!! We spoke to a manager named Toure: he was knowledgeable, he cared about our experience and he even asked what they could do to improve our experience. He assisted his staff with the tables, plates, etc. he is a great example of being a team player! Everything was delicious and we will definitely return.

Great food and service, had breakfast buffet 2 times , very good service, wanted to try for dinner but made the mistake of going to the Westin instead, should have gone here , restaurant is great but I do not recommend the hotel , staff is awesome, thank you!

Sear continues to be a good stop on the DragonCon ride. The food is good, but it’s the service and atmosphere that really shine. Thanks again for the themed desserts and amazing bread basket!

High quality restaurant that is perfect for those staying at the hotel. Steak was cooked to perfection and the sea bass was flavorful. The glass of wine was a tad pricey but nothing to complain about.

I checked into the hotel around 4:45-5pm on a Friday night. Went back down to grab dinner at Sear around 6:45 thinking it was going to be packed, it was not. I was seated quickly and my server Carrie was excellent. I had the ribeye and mashed potatoes.
The first one that came out was well done when I ordered it med rare. She quickly solved the problem and had another one made for me.
I work in a restaurant so I understand these things happen. No one is perfect however it’s how the staff chooses to make it right is what separates other places. She asked if she could do anything else more me and I could tell it was sincere. That alone made up for everything.

Absolute worst experience one could have. I waited an hour to eat here after checking into the hotel. They weren't serving alcohol...? I ordered a steak medium rare and it was well done. Actually, it was more like shoe leather. The service was horrendous. Complete waste of money and time. I would have gotten a better meal at McDonalds. Do not come and waste your money. This place is trash!
