Impressive place ... You feel like you enter in the life and the drama of the great Rembrandt. You step on his footsteps, you breath his air, you feel his joy, despair, suffering, powerlessness, decay ... Loaded with paintings from the seventeenth century, with furniture and artifacts of that time, with its collection of antiquities and various things, in which a buried the money and led him to bankruptcy. With the air loaded with sadness of a house in which the children, the wives, the luck and the well-being lost...

This museum gives a nice insight into Rembrandt’s life and the house where he lived during (part of his) time in Amsterdam. It is recommended to do the audio tour (which is free of charge).

I dont think it is must-see for a tourist but that does not change the fact this museum is a magnificent place. It is very well designed, and also equipped with (slightly) interactive workshops. Best way experience Rembrandt.

Definitely one of my favourite museums in Amsterdam. It’s a small place, but the audio guide does a great job narrating Rembrandt’s life story. Although his most famous masterpiece, the Night’s Watch is not here (too big to fit in the house anyway), the museum has a nice collection of his other paintings and the eccentricities he accumulated over the years. Highly recommended.

This Rembrandt museum was Rembrandt house yrs ago. It is a good place to spend abt 1.5hrs here to know something abt this painter/trader. The entrance ticket is included by the Amsterdam city card and remember to book slot and q there, quite a lot of visitors. Some of the collections in this museum is quite interesting.😉
