Extremely rude and unprofessional. I have experienced myself few times, and now my family members. How can you consider yourself a US consulate if you are rude and not letting people to present their case, or even finish sentences! Acting like you have some kind of power and that you are better that regular people is really bad presentation of your country, how pity. Acting nice and laughing and being pleasant to the people that work for government and letting them answer your questions and chitchatting, and then when regular person/citizen is next having an interview with you suddenly consulate is totally different person with attitude and have this smirk and prejudice on their face, really disappointing it doesn’t cost much just to be nice human being.
You ask a question but don’t want to hear the answer, and just brush off on people and interrupt them, it’s ok to deny someone entry to US but at least be professional and do your JOB properly!!!
Very disappointing and sad. Just like mentioned it’s ok to denied someone but, same storyline for the past few years and wasted money. So pity of USA embassy in Sarajevo. You have a thousands and thousands of Bosnian origin citizens living and working for this country and this is how you treat people that haven’t see their family’s for years , who pay taxes and contribute to the USA development. Well done on poor representation of our country in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The process was seamless, fast and the visa was issued already the following day after the interview - without an expedite process. People were professional and polite, best visa experience ever.

Just a heads up for my Russian compatriots. I'm a Russian citizen, live in Georgia since 2018, have Georgian residency. I work for US company. Applied for B1/B2 visa to attend company event in US for 7 days, had all the paperwork to prove it: letter from CEO, contract agreement, salary slips, itinerary, lease agreement in US. Got rejected instantly, interviewer refused to see any of the paperwork I had. And some statistics: 3 Russians applying for B1 were rejected the same way before me, two guys Brazilian and British (judging by the accent) citizens were approved for tourist visa after a short chat. So basically it's about passport and nationality and no amount of paperwork will help you because nobody cares. I experienced no rudeness, just a good old discrimination. Everybody were quite polite though, but I don't think it was worth $160.

So, dear Russians (and maybe Belorussians), save yourself some time, donate your $160 to Ukraine, it will do much more good and go explore Bosnia, it's absolutely amazing!

My cousin had applied for a Tourist Visa .
He has brought 25 pieces of documents that they required from him . Traveled almost 5 hrs , for a 45 seconds interview where they didn’t wanna hear anything he had to say , just to reject him. This is outrageous that he didn’t get a chance to present his case. I am beyond outraged the way he was treated.

Trying to get family members stateside just for a visit. We have successfully done so before on a student visa and had zero issues. This time around, my family and everyone in line that, except one gentleman, were denied visas within a minute or two. The lady that called them up waived them off rudely after just 2 minutes. How do you get through an entire packet of information to substantiate their visit in 2 minutes? What sort of legal operation representing us US citizens allows this sort of behavior and process? You bet your job lady I will be writing my senator and representatives. The whole embassy seems like needs a thorough investigation as to how they are literally stealing $160 per person and not even giving them a fair shake. One lady in line was asking for a visa to bury her father stateside. She didn't have a chance to open her mouth before the officer waved her off. This is disgusting.

When I saw this place & flag of USA I remembered Dayton agreement. Thank you USA for this & for your efforts to separate BiH successfully into 2 parts! Thank USA for his kindness toward Bosnians, how fast gives them visa for immigration to live Bosnia easily then after 50 years only Serbs/Croats will remain there. Viva USA....!!
