Tried joining two different leagues and both ended up cancelling last minute . Volo Sports (formerly NYC Social) is refusing to refund.

For the past several years, I have used NYC Social/VOLO for my social/competitive sports leagues. They have always been overpriced. Permits for fields cost hardly anything. But I have put up with it because I have an entire team that plays in their volleyball league. However, just recently they announced that their Summer Tuesday Volleyball League at Domino Park is sold out well over a month before the registration closes for it. I reached out to their customer services to see if anything can be done for an entire team that has been supporting their companies for years now and was told there was nothing they can do for us. As an Account Executive at a firm in New York City, I work with thousands of clients and always try to do anything to help them. Just saying no and not answering additional questions we have is UNACCEPTABLE. I will add that I play in their flag football league on Wednesdays and Fridays and had multiple experiences this season where the refs didn't show up or showed up high and the field wasn't prepared. If you and/or your company are looking for a social sports league for yourself or your staff, please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. I would NOT recommend NYC Social/VOLO

Stay away from the indoor St Patrick’s Tuesday night league. The gym is small, the nets are ripped and sagging, and the reffing is incredibly inconsistent. We are only into our 4th game and twice already they’ve emailed us at the last minute to postpone games until later in the night. Go to literally any other volleyball league, they’re much more professional: Urban, Gotham, AMYTHING!

RUN RUN RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!! This so-called “company” will just take your money. It’s overpriced and they will cut your games short, not have any games at all, or not have equipment. They won’t provide another game or time and you will just lose your money. I would stay far away if you’re looking for a reasonable company to meet new people and play a sport.

I've only done the football leagues, but have been doing so since 2012.
I just wanted to give a shout out to PJ and his crew for what they've done over the past couple of seasons, making Monday's a very unique and personalized experience for fellow players and myself.
Customizing the medals to correlate with each season seems so simple in practice, but it really makes you feel like you are playing for something that not everyone is going to get every three months.
On the field, he and the crew are ALWAYS hospitable and available for questions or concerns and that can't be said for every day-to-day interaction that we all have in life, let alone in our various paid adventures.
But the camaraderie shown doesn't end on the field, that crew brings it to the bar creating a postgame atmosphere that allows you to be whichever social character that you want to be, whether you be introverted or extroverted.

Amateurs
Unfriendly
I couldn’t play then I didn’t get my t-shirt.
The equipment is poor.
The organization is unorganized.
I paid $140 dollars I just play one time.
Just one star then You can meet great people.
I don’t recommend

The fields they host their games on in the LOWER EAST SIDE are straight up dangerous and a severe injury waiting to happen. They love to cram their soccer teams with more players than you really need which means more money for them of course but less play time for you. They're absolutely greedy.
