I decided to visit Gouda based on the positive comments red about this warehouse. Pleasant experiences, with an unexpected complete audio guide. The amount of info given during the tour is more than impressive, and it is fascinating to know all about the warehouse story and about the making of Gouda cheese. I also asked for the cheese tasting experience…cheese tasting with a member of the staff giving full explanation of proposed cheese and chatting about some fanny curiosity of this town. It really was worth a visit!!!

It was an amazing experience. A cheese with beer tasting managed by Rik - we learned A LOT about the Gouda cheese production, the maturation and tastes. You must visit this place and try this taste experience! It worst every cent....

Good to learn some history of gouda and cheese. Had English versions of the audioguides but the voices were a bit monotone and so was difficult for me to keep focus. Defined a small place but will keep you for long as each section of the audioguide was pretty long.

The women in the shop are so lovely and informative, they are happy to answer questions. The cheese tasting was a nice touch and small introduction to the many cheeses available in Gouda! The audio guide is provided as part of the museum to help you walk through all of the history of Gouda. 10/10 definitely recommend

For sure something everyone should experience in when in the country in the summer season. Cheese is an essential part of the Dutch lifestyle and a huge reason why Gouda is so popular and full of history. If you’re going to visit the museum here I’d suggest not during the market since rot will be overwhelmingly busy.

If you are in Gouda, this place worth a visit. We have a super nice guide, lot of information around, and of course cheese tasting. Buy the ticket with the stadhuis ticket together.

We went to see where the cheese we like so much came from. It is a picturesque town that would be great for a day trip. There are canal cruises, cheese museum, Stadhuis and Cathedral that should not be missed. Also the cheese shop where there are a myriad of flavours of cheese... Even vegan cheese. Samples of everything that is on sale is available (as it should be). We left with truffle, garlic and regular Gouda small wheels of cheese. We were lucky and found parking a short walk away on the street near to a canal which is pricey as is the norm in the Netherlands.
