There’s a couple of bathrooms before you enter the campground if you need to stop on your way up the Cabot trail. Just a hole in the ground with some doors. Hand sanitizer provided.

Super cute spot but the bathrooms in Dartmouth gas stations are less scary 😂

Great little unserviced campground with nice views of the highlands. Can get firewood not too far away back towards Ingonish.

I believe we were the first paying customers at the new campground. The Parks Canada staff member told me the self registration deposit box was just placed the morning of our arrival. The campground has been completely changed due to bridge construction. The old site is across the River. This campground has been improved immensely, with an additional 3 sites which are also much more private than before. All the new sites are equipped with fire pits and there is a new washroom ‘facility. It costs $17.60 to camp here but has bare bones facilities. We liked the great location in the middle of the Park and close to camp North. Incredibly quiet at night, we could hear the owls. Despite being next to the highway, the sound does not travel into the sites. We stayed here in early August and there were only two other sites taken. Select carefully, a few are not level, and more grass seed needs to be spread as it is quite dusty..
