Very cool if you like local history. The woman who gave my sister and I our tour was not only knowledgeable but kind and courteous. Highly recommend. Will be going back if I'm around the area again.

This is such a great place and the employees are very knowledgeable. Lived here most of my life and this was the first visit. Enjoyed the tour and tour guide. Def a place that should be seen regarding local history

Anna was our amazing tour guide! We really enjoyed all of the historical stories of the area, and the massive oak tree on site was incredible!

Loved the experience there. It was my first time there and my husband and I took our two adhd girls. Th gal that was there was very patient with them even though they kept interrupting her. It was great learning experience and loved hearing the story of the Sallier tree.

Participated in the First Annual Plant Exchange. Was very pleased with the event. Nice folk.

Fun time with friends decorating king cake and touring museum

A small but well curated museum. The current exhibition features "Small Wonders" including a thousand year old Greek vase, a portrait of Rodin by Renoir, a scene painted by Clementine Hunter, as well as more modern works by Louisiana artists. The permanent collection highlights the history of Lake Charles. It's easy to spend 45 minutes to an hour here for a patron of the arts.
