The Fruit Stand

i hate to leave a negative review, but i totally got scammed by this place. the guy working there said they take zelle when i started shopping, but after i already had a bunch of fruit in my bag, he told me they have a $20 minimum for zelle payments. this makes no sense because zelle is tax-free. i felt too guilty to put back all the fruit in my bag, so i ended up buying some cherries i didn’t need in order to reach the $20 minimum. he also made me wait 10+ minutes after i paid to make sure the payment went through. he kept asking me to “forward” him the transaction info from my bank, even though that’s both impossible and a violation of privacy. i showed him the zelle transaction from my phone several times and he didn’t care. he only let me go when i gave him my phone number so he could call me if he didn’t get the money. it made me super uncomfortable. the fruit was fine, but i definitely won’t be returning. if you go, make sure to pay with cash.
