This was e really good find. The place is wonderfully decorated. And the dramatic light in the restroom. Waw (nobody speaks about this area of the restaurant, and lot of time it’s an after thought). Back to the food We had an appetizer with kind of a white fish ceviche. Was spectacular. Then we had roasted duck with noodles. That duck was cooked to perfection. Nice and moist. Just amazing. I had a dessert. Which I can’t recall the name. But it was so nice. It was huge but so good I ate it all.
This is a place of 6 star atmosphere. Truly worth a visit
Our server was really nice and very welcoming. But the staff gave outstanding service.

Modern Singaporean restaurant in a chic setting.

What I liked:
- Complimentary soy sauce marinated beans (reminds me of the marinated peanuts that I have with porridge)
- Achar (mildly spicy, refreshing vegetable starter with nice touch of peanuts)
- Pollo Makan (the meat is very tender and tasty, though the sauce was a bit overwhelming towards the end)
- Pickled green chili on the noodles were nice (though could be even more sour)

What could be better:
- Escargots XO (it was a mix of mushroom and escargots, and the XO sauce did not have enough kick for my liking)
- Laksa (unfortunately it was served lukewarm.. and I was hoping for more spice and citrus notes)
- Pollo Makan and Pato rostizado essentially have the same sauce, so the dishes tasted repetitive
- Cerdo charsiew (did not have the texture nor flavor that I was looking for. The meat was dry and the flavor was the same as Pollo Makan and Pato rostizado, as opposed to the carmelized bbq sauce I was expecting)
- The side of rice served with the meats could be even more aromatic (e.g. ginger, shallots, etc)

Overall the food was good, though I would not order three different meats in the same seating because they taste too similar. Having lived in Singapore for almost a decade, admittedly I am probably more critical about the flavors due to my personal cravings for authentic Sg dishes.

Service and other comments:
- Shockingly underwhelming service given that it was not busy when I went. Perhaps the servers were new and not trained, but they were not particularly helpful when asked about gluten allergy and the wine selection. It felt like the team was disorganized and lost, and we had to ask several different staff for help, because the requests kept getting dropped.
- The signature chili crab was not available when I went, which certainly added to the disappointment.
- While they have a fairly extensive wine menu on paper, they did not have many sparkling wine options. The server also appeared inexperienced in serving wine.
- There is gluten in Pollo Makan and other meats given the use of soy sauce.

Given that the price point is fairly high, I was definitely expecting better service.

Loved the food, the place and the staff. The escargots are amazing as well as the duck, definitely the stars of the menu.

I’m Singaporean. I wasn’t expecting much. You walk into this nondescript hallway, but of course, the restaurant is this little charming gem. We had the special beef dumplings, laksa and the chicken rice. The rice is sooo on pointe, delicious it immediately took me home. The laksa was small but really well done. We had such a good time. I am so glad we went!

I was delightfully surprised that the chicken rice here was so delicious. The broth was rich, rice was flavorful, and the chicken was a little crispy and tender served with the classic scallion ginger sauce. I also got the laksa that had nice shrimp flavor. because I was sharing with a friend, they were nice enough to split the laksa into two bowls for us. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for yummy Singaporean food. It has a lovely ambiance and great drinks as well.

Fantastic little gem hidden in the Roma. The staff is courteous and knowledgeable and ready to fill up your wine glass when running low. The food is amazing but I do have a gripe about it not being very consistent. I've been here once a week for more than a month and every time the dishes are a little different. Not always for the better. Other than that, it's a great place with cute ambiance and great food.
