Small but worthwhile. Contemporary/main/temporary exhibit is in Italian but using Google translate was easily able to understand everything. Permanent exhibit is in Italian with a decent amount of English translation accompanied. Petit bookstore/gift shop.

Merveille architecturale à visiter sous tous les angles.

We visited the Jewish Museum of Bologna after seeing in on the Top 5 List of things to do In Bologna on Forbes.com.
To enter, make sure to ring the Buzzer and the gate will open. The museum is relatively small and has a small rotating staff, but houses a lot of information!
It is housed in two buildings with the main entrance on the right hand side after entering the alcove.
They house rotating exhibitions and work with other cultural events going on in Bologna.
The Museum shows the history of the Jewish Diaspora and history of Italian Jews in Bologna and Emilia-Romagna. There is also lots of info on the unique recipes and culinary traditions of Italian Jews.
Furthermore, there is tiny bookshop that though small in size, may be one of the biggest Jewish themed book collections in Italy.
We have since gone back multiple times and always learn something new!

Everything in the museum is at least 20 years old and some of the PCs still run Windows 95. Sometimes it gets like "look, Jews are great", which is not a particularly nice way of delivering information. However, if you want to know something about the community in Bologna and the region it does provide you with sufficient info. Overall not that bad, but it desperately needs redevelopment.

Very disappointing. Difficult gaining entry through security gate. Very unfriendly welcome on entering the museum from the security guard such that I decided not to stay and go round the exhibition. The Museum needs to review how they deal with visitors, particularly those who do not speak Italian, current set up and staff will only deter visitors!

3 Euro entry, small museum, audio guide didn't work properly. Bit disappointed
