Just walking around this 1800 year old castle would take up your entire afternoon. It's relaxing and not crowded since everyone is busy at the Vatican or the Colosseum which is a plus for us! Be sure to get a window seat at the Castletop bar the view is awesome!

This is a must do in Rome. It was much less crowded than other tourist spots. It was a much needed change of pace.

A great view of Rome from the top of the castle and many cool things to see on the way up.

try to pre book if you can, it's quicker to get in but please visit! the history of the castle is amazing, you walk through the mausoleum to get up to the castle on top, and the views are incredible. Great coffee shop, again with lovely views if you are lucky enough to bag a table next to an arrow slit! superb place!

Beautiful castle to visit. From what I noticed, it’s not wheelchair accessible. Gives a beautiful view of the City as well as the Vatican from the top floor. Some art indoors as well.

There’s a cute little restaurant at the top of the castle, worth a visit to enjoy the views while having a coffee!

I didn’t buy tickets in advance, and only had to wait in a 5 minute line to get in!

This is a beautiful castle. I was amazed at all the exceptional paintings. The architecture is impressive as well. It's only a short walk from the Vatican. I know there are many things to see in Rome, but if you can make the time, I recommend you put this on your "To Do" list. You won't be disappointed.

This building looks old when you approach it, and it remains impressively authentic on the inside where possible, though there does appear to have been a lot of it required repair over time. The building itself is impressive, though at times the rooms seem a little empty and there's perhaps less to see than you might expect. Other rooms are packed with paintings, diary pages and interesting stories. Overall if you like history, architecture, or simply being in awe at some of history's most amazing buildings, this is well worth the visit.

It’s walking distance from the Vatican, quite centrally located, the whole structure stands out and can be seen from far, it actually looks quite cool but surprisingly empty. I went after my morning tour at the Vatican and bought tickets on the spot easily. There is a path to follow through the whole site with some options for quick exits. The whole place is quite well laid out and with quite a few things to see. The views from the top is pretty amazing as well. Definitely worth a trip.
