Island Suites

Not sure why, but I evidently didn't send my review from our stay in March 2019. I was in Tampa for major surgery and my husband needed to stay close to Tampa General. Island Suites was perfect! Quiet and clean, very close to hospital. Dan was very easy to deal with and couldn't have been nicer. Would highly recommend. I understand the building was sold since we were there in 2019. I can only hope it is still as nice now as it was then. Thank you, Dan, wherever you are!

Unfortunately our stay at island suites did not reflect what previous reviews have said. We were going to hold off on leaving a negative review, but the owner never even responded to our final email on our complaints. Upon arrival we noticed it was warm in the room. The AC was broken and was not pleasant to deal with for an entire weekend, but I understand things can break and the owner was able to move us to another room to help accommodate. Then there was the times we had to complain about loud music. It was resolved each time but another issue to deal with. The roaches throughout the apartment was our biggest problem. I think we killed 6 or 7 just in the bathroom. Lastly, I have provided a picture of what we had to do with the shower window. The privacy film is chipped off in large spots allowing for a full view from next door if you are in the shower. Someone had previously put up plastic hooks to do the same for some privacy.

We felt like the price did not reflect the quality of our stay.

I just spent 3 nights there. I was traveling alone and had hoped for a place where I felt safe. This was perfect. The place was spotless and I had everything I needed in the apartment. The bed was very comfortable. I would not hesitate to go back there again. It’s also on a very nice area of beautiful homes and close to Bayshore Dr.if you want to go for a walk along the water. Highly recommend.

I had the pleasure of staying at Island Suites for exactly one year. I LOVED my apartment! I can’t say enough about Dan and his team. Communication with Dan was great! And he was even proactive in accommodating my need to extend my stay! The apartment was very clean, comfortable, WELL equipped, and the location is absolutely PERFECT! As a huge football fan, it was amazing to be able to walk to my “backyard” to get a glimpse of the Bucs parade! It was so hard to leave but I know where I’ll be staying when I’m back in Tampa! This is a gem of a property!!

Enjoyed my stay at the Island Suites greatly. Added days on to my stay several times and Dan was very accommodating. Ended up spending 50 days here. The apartment is near excellent restaurants and is near the Channel and beautiful views of the water and Tampa skyline. Enjoyed my walks at night around Davis Island. The apartment itself has everything you need and felt like home.

I spent an entire year at Island Suites and could not have been happier. Dan and Claudia are attentive and were the easiest people to work with when it comes to an apartment. They were readily available to answer any and all questions. The apartment’s are fully furnished and when I say you don’t need a thing you really don’t. They are modern and have everything you need for your stay whether a week or a year. You can’t beat the location and I will definitely be staying here on any future trips to Tampa. Small business is amazing and Island Suites embodies this American spirit and I’d recommend it to anyone. You can’t beat the service, location, and experience. If you're looking for a great, cozy place to stay in Tampa, look no further. My girlfriend I stayed here a few weeks ago while visiting. The apartments on Davis Island are close to everything.... A short drive to the aquarium, and a short walk to multiple restaurants.

The apartments have all new appliances, smart TV, free Wi-Fi and are spotless! They look just like what you see in the pictures.

Relocated to Tampa for a new job and had to find temporary housing for myself before my wife and kids moved later on.

Island Suites Tampa was the perfect one-bedroom apartment for me. It was clean and had a modern design to feel comfortable throughout my stay. It was also quiet and had ample parking spaced in the back so I was close to my car. Restaurants were a short walk away and Davis Island was a picture-perfect setting to become acclimated to the Tampa area for the first time.

The customer service from booking to check in to check out was first class. You can't go wrong here.
