On a sunday evening around 9ish you can grab a beer, have some pub snacks and the barkeep will let you kick off kereoke for the night. It gets busier later and the place has a great atmosphere
Honestly came here for a couple beers, ended up having a top tier burger and my friends also had only glowing things to say about the food. Great service, great games and great food + drinks. Would 100% recommend, I know I’ll be coming back!
Was staying in jersey city for work and this place was a half mile from my friends house. Total godsend, happy hour deal burger beer and a shot for ten bucks. Nice bartender as well and friendly people in the place. Next time I’m staying in journal square I’ll be back!

I mean my God what. A. Place. Victoria is an AMAZING bartender that cannot be underestimated. This is the most underrated bar in Jersey City. Period. If you are not coming here it is you who are lame.

I had a couple Other Half beers on tap; they were great. I didn't order food because I had already eaten, but I'm glad I didn't because when I hit the bathroom before I left, it was in a STATE.

My husband and I went to McGinley Pub on a Monday night to get rid of our Monday morning blues(it worked!). We shared the rum & coke bucket between us and had a chicken sandwich and a veggie bean sandwich. The food and drinks were great and the bartender was nice. We even got to play a round of darts. Overall, a nice pub to hang out with friends or dates!
