Grey Refuge Trailhead

Increíble experiencia! Trekking Refugio Paine Grande a Refugio Grey, bellos 11km, iba tan maravillada que ni sentí el peso de la mochila. Hay que ir preparado para tener clima de las 4 estaciones del año.
Mucho cuidado con el viento, no hay mucho que hacer en verdad, pero cuando íbamos regresando, lamentablemente en el km 5 el viento empujó a mi mamá y resultó fracturada, son los riesgos, así que solo ir con cuidado y preparado para cualquier eventualidad, nosotros íbamos con guía así que pudo actuar rápidamente (100% recomendado Photo Expedition Patagonia)

The trail is connecting the two campsites (and refuges), paine grande and grey. but besides the commute it is a very rewarding trail as there is a great variaty of spectacular landscapes, and the trail itself is very diverse from forstly vally to rocky slopes some are challenging. on the way from Paine Grande campsite there are some great lookouts of the glacier and its lake, some decide to turn back from this point, though the moon shape lookout behind grey campsite is the real highlight of this trail.

Very very windy, but otherwise a fairly easy walk with a few ups and downs. Mirador of grey glacier about a third of the way from Paine Grande is absolutely stunning... but bracing!

Long trek but the view is worth it. Can be challenging for some but it was a good hike. Beware of strong winds.

Warm water, clean rooms, nice staff. Not cheap but well...

Not to Hard. But very windy.

Water quality when I was there was murky and a bit dirty. Staff were great. There was a cooking table outside which was nice for early starters. Otherwise wait till 7am for everything to open
