Mirador Glaciar Grey
2023 Dec 21
The half moon lookout proposes great view near to the front of the eastern leg of Grey glacier. in itself it is beutiful spot to pass some time and enjoy the atmosphere and the view. it is possible to reach on a very tight schedule in one day in and out to podeto with the ferry. That is the best view point of the front, and continuing up, passed the place where campamento "Las Guardas" was better views from above the glacier can be seen (more than one hour up to get a clear view from the woods).
Grey Refuge Trailhead
2023 Nov 18
The trail is connecting the two campsites (and refuges), paine grande and grey. but besides the commute it is a very rewarding trail as there is a great variaty of spectacular landscapes, and the trail itself is very diverse from forstly vally to rocky slopes some are challenging. on the way from Paine Grande campsite there are some great lookouts of the glacier and its lake, some decide to turn back from this point, though the moon shape lookout behind grey campsite is the real highlight of this trail.
Emerald Basin
2022 Oct 22
Easy walk, not that attractive views.
Sunset lookout
2022 Oct 20
The lookout proposes great view of the western part of the city, not necessarily at sunset, though the autumn colors and the sunset do combine well.
Camping Lago Grey
2022 Jul 31
The new campsite is further away from the lake (not like the old one) the refuge contraction is modern, and offers some utilities like dining and showers. The camping ground is comfortable, but seems alot smaller than the old one. Kind of miss the old one that have the feeling of camping at the beach.
