These Xiaolongbao‘s are epic! I absolutely make every effort to come here each time I pass through Shanghai. Do yourself a favour and GO!

Xiao long baos were decent, loved the truffle ones, but those come in 6 instead of 12.

Spicy noodles were not bad, but the pork chop noodles were very salty albeit huge portions.

Clean, small, very nice variety of dumplings aka xiao long bao. Pleased. Will try the soup if I visit again in future.

Small restaurant providing different kinds of homemade dumplings in Shanghai’s style. Prices are not cheap, but reasonable. Could be that you need to wait for free table.

The best place for Xiao Long Bao - soup dumplings.

You will most likely need to queue here. We arrived on a weekday at around 12.20pm and didn't get seated until around 1.15pm. Although, we walked past here the next day at around the same time to visit a soup dumpling place opposite, and the queue was less than half the size as when we joined. So your waiting time might vary - but regardless, it's likely you'll need to queue.

Seating is limited inside and you'll likely need to share a table if you're in a couple or small group.

These soup dumplings were probably the best I had in China - and anywhere else for that matter. They were made fresh and the flavour was amazing. Their menu changes often, depending on what they are making on that day.

Would highly recommend if you're in the area and have time to queue. It's just a shame it's such a small, cramped place, and a bit of a dive - but that does add to its character. It's full of locals as well as tourists, which is good to see. But think carefully whether you want to queue after a long day likely walking/travelling.

We paid around £15 for around 20 soup dumplings and a couple of drinks which I think is reasonable.

I have been there twice, and the first experience was pretty great. I ordered a portion of Xiao Long Bao (soup dumpling) filled with crab and meat. The flavor are rich and juicy. The second experience wasn’t that great because we went there at peak hours. Just go visit at off-peak times.

The soup dumplings filled with meat or meat and crab are highly recommended. But I didn’t like the one filled with crab only. The flavor wasn’t rich and the texture was mushy which tasted like the vomit.

An awesome place for friends and family to have a gathering with excellent food. They serve in a small portion so you could try out more dishes here. Everything on the menu taste good. Personally love lotus with sticky rice in the middle. Scollop with noddles. Prawns with glass noodles. Braised pork. BBQ pork. Highly recommend this restaurant 👍🏼
