We love the art on the wall, a lot of donkies that were painted by a local artist and they’re all for sale. Now, as far as the service, it was good, we really enjoyed our waitress, but the food was meh. I added shrimp to my fajitas and it was a whopping $36, not a whole Lotta flavor and who adds chunks of tomatoes and sausage to their fajitas. I’ve never had anything like it. I can say, not anyone was super thrilled with their food. Drinks and food to expensive for what you get.
I just can’t-

Running a holiday errand took us to North Scottsdale, stumbling on this charming Cantina ordered a blood orange sugared frozen margarita, and beer batter shrimp in shooter glasses --absolutely delicious!! Atmosphere of kitschy donkey pictures adds to its charm, definitely worth the drive!

Our first time eating here. We will definitely be back. We split the barbacoa chimichanga. It was easily enough for two. The brown chili sauce was fantastic
So much flavor. Only complaint, skimpy chips and salsa that you pay for. Margheritas are excellent as well. Can recommend. Will return.

We decided to try this place for the first time because our usual authentic Mexican restaurant is closed today. However, we found that this restaurant serves more tex-Mex than authentic Mexican food. Unlike our usual spot, here they charge $9.50 for chips and salsa, which we usually get for free. We ordered the Beef enchiladas with red sauce and the LA Granda chimichanga with carnitas, but they were not as good as we had hoped, and the sauce was rather bland. The service, on the other hand, was excellent. Overall, we don't plan on returning to this restaurant anytime soon.

Wonderful spot for tacos, protein bowls, chips and salsa and a huge piece of chocolate cake to top it off. I wasn’t expecting one of my favorite meals I’ve had all year when I googled chips and salsa near me. John was such a great server giving us top tier service and making us feel like family. 10/10 would recommend this delicious dining experience.

This one is a tough call between 3 and 4 stars. The beginning and end of our meal weren't great but the meal itself was really good.

We started with the expensive chips and 3 salsas. While the chips were adequate, the 3 tiny bowls of salsa were laughable. We then ordered 3 things, Baja shrimp tacos, shredded beef quesadillas and the nachos. All were delicious. The portions were good too.

We then split the mini churros. They weren't churros but solid pieces of fried dough. Chewy too. Not good.

Our server was great but extremely busy. The place was packed and the cooks and servers were overwhelmed. So service was slow.

The restaurant was suggested by the hotel and described as a local favorite. We were seated right away, and our server was very attentive. Given the recommendation, we had high expectations. We ordered the Baja tacos - one shrimp and one mahi mahi. The shrimp was very good, although wet. The batter in the Mahi Mahi was very thick and could not really taste the fish. The drinks were good.
