Spring Pond

I've never seen snapper turtles in my entire life of the size and frequency that I have encountered here at this particular pond. This one snapper turtles was at least three feet long, and it had more then a handful of hooks from fisherman's lines in its mouth, showing that it had grabbed a piece of bait on a fishing line countless times. It was also highly aggressive and scared me as a child. Great memories here though

The rangers took good care of us, and taught us about the wildlife.

Good park with nice scenery

Very pretty pond, located on the Green Trail, Also known as the Spring Pond Loop Trail. This is a short, about 3/4 mile trail thru one section of Blue Heron Park. Good for bird watching
