Imagine eating at your quirky uncle’s place who is a magnificent chef. If you go without expectations of being in a normal restaurant, you can love it here. The food was excellent and great abnormal date idea. We waited a while for the service but the chef was delightful and we had a great time. Prices were excellent for the quality of food. You have to reserve in advance, and if you’re lucky he will let you in. 🤷‍♀️

As quirky as can be, but a fun experience and the food was tradional and very nice.
The owner does not speak English, but if you choose his recommendations, you can't go wrong. We had a mushroom soup, softly braised pork with lentils and pain perdu for dessert. If you prefer a modern restaurant with modern food, just go elsewhere, but if you would enjoy a culinary mini adventure in Paris, do come in!

Very, very quirky, limited menu but the food was good. I recommend knowing a little bit of French understanding since the waiter/owner doesn't speak any.

The waiter was extremely rude. We were visiting the city and I needed to use the bathroom to wash my hands, NO ONE was at the door and NO ONE said anything when I entered the restaurant. I even asked where the bathroom was and I was told where it was. When I was out, the waiter came to me and YELLED at me telling me that I wasn’t able to use it, that I needed to ask permission to use it, THAT I WAS IN HIS HOME AND I NEEDED TO ASK PERMISSION. There are ways to speak to a person and THIS IS NOT IT.

Really nice place to go with friends. Quality of food really good. Personnel really handsome and helpful. Average prices, but couscous portions are quite big.
I will surely return. And we are from Italy,, so we should know what is good food 😂
Good job guys!

I have lived in Paris for 4 years, and my only regret is not finding Chez Loulou earlier. The owner, and chef, is truly talented - taking traditional dishes and putting a personal twist on them. The restaurant has an eclectic but wonderfully cozy feel. And the menu is small (of select if you prefer), changes with the seasons, and I can promise you every dish is delicious. Not to mention it is very reasonably priced for the neighbourhood and quality of food. Don't think twice, go Chez Loulou!

Very quirky restaurant in the best of ways. Food was excellent and the interaction with the owner/server was entertaining. Come with an open mind for communication and with a mouth ready to experience really good food at a reasonable price. Cozy decor. Practice your French before entering:)
