Griffon Prep, and Bernie specifically, are the LSAT tutors you want to have in your corner. If you’re like me, and your first LSAT was kind of rough, or even if you just need a couple points here and there, they have the tools to get you where you need to be. I improved my score by more than 10 points as part of their program and i don’t think that would’ve happened without the excellent lesson plans and Bernie’s great attitude as a teacher. At Griffon they know all the tricks and they really are invested in your success. Whatever your LSAT goal is they will get you there.

I am about a week in tutoring with Bernie and she has genuinely already changed my life. It is evident she loves her job, and she is damn good at it! Connection between teacher and student is important, and it is there. I will always recommend Griffon Prep.

I cannot recommend Griffon Prep highly enough. The services and support they offer are unparalleled, and they were an invaluable resource as I was preparing to take the LSAT and the GRE. Bernie routinely went above and beyond to support me. I came in for an initial consultation and expected to stay for 20 or 30 minutes to get a sense of what Griffon Prep could offer. Instead, Bernie and I talked for well over an hour and past Griffon Prep’s closing time to walk me through practice problems and explain alternate approaches to questions. Bernie helped me isolate exactly what I needed to work on, gave me actionable recommendations to improve, explained solutions in a way that made sense to me, and was always available to answer my specific questions. The resources from Griffon Prep helped me understand topics I had been struggling with and using their test techniques and study methods I more consistently achieved my target scores. When I was concerned about the GRE’s verbal reasoning section, Bernie sent me the resource packet from one of their courses and answered all of my questions over email. Griffon Prep helped me see exactly how I could improve and gave me the tools that enabled my success. You won’t find a better, more supportive, or more honest test prep company.

I worked with Jeff to prepare for the GMAT and it was such a worthwhile investment. I was especially worried about Quant and Jeff was able to provide incredibly useful strategies that helped me greatly improve my accuracy. He helped me recognize that the test gauges your problem-solving ability, which goes beyond memorizing formulas. I also significantly improved on Verbal through a few key strategies. I'm so grateful to have had his help and wouldn't have been nearly as successful without it. My score improved 100 points between the diagnostic and my live exam. Thank you, Jeff!!

Griffon Prep, Bernie, and Jeff helped me boost my GMAT score 130 points! I am not a disciplined self studier so I knew I needed an in person course to succeed on the GMAT. Luckily I had Griffon Prep right down the street from my apartment. The weekly Thursday night classes with Bernie (who is awesome!) starting at 6:30 were easy to fit into the busy work schedule. There were two math workshops on Monday nights that were really helpful. The most helpful were the Friday night extra help sessions where you can discuss any homework problems you’re struggling with. The course is what you make of it, you get out what you put into it, so I highly suggest you do the assigned homework and take advantage of the extra help sessions. Taking a standardized test prep course is a major investment in both time and money. Choosing the right place is essential. Personally, I value individualized learning, which made me choose Griffon Prep.

The program doesn’t only explain the material in depth, Jeff and Bernie answer each question fully and help develop transferable test-taking skills. They evaluate individual levels and work with students to reach their targets. In class, the teachers use everyday examples and lighthearted humor to simplify the material, identify common themes, and teach tricks that can be used across the entire test.

During my preparation, after finishing the course, I took advantage of the one-on-one help Griffon Prep provides. I attended the extra-help sessions, and called many times when I felt stuck. Jeff and Bernie taught me how to solve the questions independently and in stages, rather than solving them for me, which reduced my anxiety on the actual test day.

Overall, for those who are willing to put in the effort, go the extra mile, and seek a good experience, Griffon Prep is a great place!
