Onion soup was super tasty. Tartar was good, but not for you if you are use to the one in France. Great beer!!

Actually a really nice place and we had the most amazing schnitzel with potatoes the typical green Frankfurt sauce. The wine was good and also the apple wine. Definitely they are loosing some points on the service which was rude and slow from the start till the end.

Absolutely loved this restaurant!

Had potato soup (so gooooood) and schnitzel - ordered the Frankfurt green sauce to go with it and it was **chef’s kiss**

Portion was GENEROUS, reasonable price as well.

Was crowded on a weekday so make sure to make a reservation.

We loved this place so much, we ate there twice during our visit to Frankfurt. We strongly suggest reservations, although we were squeezed in the first time we showed up an hour early. Venison goulash, venison sauerbraten, schnitzel with Green sauce and frankfurters with sauerkraut. All set the bar for future dinners. Green sauce was amazing as was the goulash. Locals filled the tables during weeknights. A treasure.

An old tavern with over 200 years history. The place is cozy and the staff are quick. Food was very divisive among me and my friends with my liking the strudel and salads but finding the pickled cheese and vegan schnitzel odd. At least we all agree the drink and service was lovely. Worth a visit for the historic value and authentic Germany food.

We went in for dinner wanting some nice German fare before ending our vacation, and we were not disappointed! I ordered the Frankfurter schnitzel and my partner the slagsplatte and both were delicious. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. Be sure to try the apple wine.
