Park Prep is a wonderful community! Both of my children had incredibly positive experiences in both the school year and summer programs. Teachers are kind, attentive, joyful, consistent, positive! The kindergarten-ready focus on confidence really engendered a love of school in them. Wish we could have stayed for kindergarten!

My daughter at age 2 joined Park Prep Academy for a 2 day program moving on to 3 days a week. She got the best headstart in academics. Ms. Justine, Ms. Jocelyn, Ms. Angelica, Ms. Sabrina, Ms. Christine, Ms. Elizabeth, Ms. Destiny a big thank you. The attention, knowledge and care the kids receive at PPA is exemplary. Can't wait for my son to turn 2 and start his journey at PPA.

My Child does not attend this day-care.

Why two stars then ?
I found it very disturbing that the director of the daycare would not give a un-scheduled tour during business hours. She wanted the parents to schedule a time and come only at that time or during an open house (which is on a saturday).

What exactly are they not confident of ? cleanliness, treatment of kids ?
It surely seemed like she was trying to hide something.

Anyone can make a good impression at a set time. The one that shines is the one that is confident of its program and treatment of kids at any given time.

Btw.. I visited close to 10 different daycares in the vicinity and all were more than happy to provide a guided tour of their premises without an appointment.

The visit was made with my wife.

The Best Preschool in the Area. Definitely worth it. After considerable research checking out public and private options, we chose PPA because it is a true preschool (actual high quality teaching and learning, not just child care) with the best student-teacher ratio available. PPA was also recommended to us from numerous families (from Hoboken, JC, Union City, Weehawken) over the years because of the curriculum, bright setting and exceptionally educated (and warm) teachers. I love them and so do my kids. You will not worry, for one second, about your child.

We are happy because our son is getting 1:1 time with his teachers daily and is coming home every day having built his confidence with letters, numbers, logic, music, stories, creative play and park time. He's a different kid since he started in September. The Directors, Head Teachers and Assistant Teachers are all forthcoming, responsive, supportive, kind and are exactly the kind of educators I would wish for my children through 12th grade!

Their play station materials, weekly projects and events are varied and interesting. The space is bright, warm and welcoming. Unlike many schools, they get park-time in daily. They also help each child with their lunch and have been successful with even the most difficult of eaters (my son!). We get a daily note from his teachers to let us know exactly what he did that day (what books, play stations he opted for, activities, did he nap etc.) which gives us a greater connection to his day.

Having experienced both a public preschool option and PPA, there is no question, at all, that we would rule for PPA again. The difference is clear for us and the children have expressed the same (which says it all for me). Our daughter's Kindergarten teacher said she could always tell if one of her students went to PPA because the children are better prepped socially and academically.

Highest possible recommendation from finicky local parents who want the moon for their children.

Both our children went to park prep from 2.5 - 5 yrs old. They had a wonderful experience as did we. My children looked forward to going to school each day and that gave me peace of mind dropping them off. The teachers, director and staff create a warm, loving, family environment. Our kids grew and learned so much here and were well prepared socially and academically to face the challenges of graduating to elementary school. We also enjoyed being a part of the the fun family events throughout the year as well as summer camp field trips. We made lifelong friends here and our memories of our years at this school will always warm our hearts. We highly recommend this school!

A remarkable preschool that gets it just right. Preschool is he most important learning period of a person's life. Park Prep is a GREATschool and child care option.

We researched it first, of course and everything looked good, and two other couples (with kids who live in our building) loved it, and gushed about how great it was. Now into our second year, we are more than happy with everything about it, our son loves it! I give the school 4 stars, 5 stars if that's on the scale.

Their 1:4 teacher-student ratio can't be beat, the large space has flexible structured work stations that are used in a clear and structured manner necessary for children, and is filled with with a pervasive sense of fun and play. The literacy enhanced space is full of books and the teachers read stories frequently, teaching a love of the printed word. The directors are current RE preschool education theory and practice. All have Masters and PhDs, and they are able to apply their knowledge, experience and training and make everything work with the kids, each of whom has their own personality, requirements and needs.

The two directors are great, and the teachers are remarkable. Everyone is unfailingly upbeat, but gentle and nurturing, striking just the right balance of care with expectation of success. Socialization, cognitive skills, emotional development are all addressed.

Kudos to Park Prep
