Spices of Southern Bah Restaurant, Banana Leaf

A simple restaurant at KK waterfront area that’ serves variety of Indian food’s. Food taste was decent. Shop was clean and service also fast and good. Price is reasonable too.

This place was incredible. Operated by a very kind family. Took a date for Indian food and at first was hesitant because there were no customers when we arrived. However the entire family greeted us and quickly went into action making us feel welcome. They served us free Papadum with different sauces for a snack while we waited for our food. I ordered the chili chicken and some rice, the portions were generous. The food was PHENOMENAL. Great beverage options as well with plenty of fresh juices. Very affordable as well as I believe most dishes were between 20-30RM. This was the best Indian restaurant I’ve ever been to. I’m staying in KK for a few months and will definitely be going back.

I would have to say that this is some of THE BEST Indian food I've ever eaten. I ended up eating here 2 nights in a row so I can give a fair review. I ate the cauliflower gobi both nights and I think it's fantastic. Last night I had the Kerala Nadan Style chicken and capathi and it was delicious. I have to warn that the chicken dish is super spicy 🥵, but I like that. Tonight I had the varuval lamb with garlic naan and it was almost as amazing as the chicken last night and not nearly as spicy. They have only been open for around 5 months but Shubash and his team do a great job and the food is to live for. I'm glad I found this place. Thanks for everything 🙌🙏👊

Das war leider nicht so gut. Das Lammfleisch bestand hauptsächlich aus Knochen, wodurch das Preis Leistungs Verhältnis nicht angemessen war. Die Saucen waren ganz gut. Vielleicht besser vegetarisch bestellen. Der Service war sehr langsam, wir mussten sehr lange auf das Essen warten, obwohl nichts los war. Das Ambiente ist rustikal aber angemessen für das was es sein soll.

Sincere and honest service with great food. We had lamb shank which tasted great, although it could be more tender. Bamboo ayam briyani was delicious.

Went back the next day to get some poppadam to pair with our beers because they were just too addictive.

For bananas leaf lover.. Nice place to enjoy the southern taste.. Red grouper head curry's.. Bamboo Briyani lamb shanks.. Nice.....

I had a delightful experience at an excellent Indian restaurant. The fried fish I ordered was both fresh and delicious. While enjoying my meal, I noticed other customers ordering bamboo biryani, and it looked equally appealing.

My honest review is the food is awesome and reasonable price..had a pleasant experience as the owner and waiters are very friendly ..
