You always know the food will be good when it's located inside of a grocery store. It took over 30 minutes for us to get our lunch, but it was definitely worth it. While you wait you can watch them make food over the countertop. The chicken curry lunch special was spicy but nothing I couldn't handle, and I can't handle a ton of spice. Tons of dog friendly outdoor seating, some of it is covered too. If I found myself in the area I would definitely come here again.

Went in for late afternoon lunch. Fish Thali was pretty disappointing- everything was lukewarm! Probably prepared earlier in the day. Could have at least reheated before serving. Chana and rice were both awful. Dosa was good but their sambhar and chutneys seriously need to be upgraded.
They are probably known for their chats and even so, papdi Bhalla chat was not the best either. Too sweet and not fresh yogurt; wasn’t too friendly to my gut. Would skip everything else, and go for their other chats when in area! Sweets do look appetising.

They forced me do put down the stars I bought 3-4 chocolates and it was expired in September.
So they are bad for giving expired.
Viks chaat has good food and it has very good looks and tastes good and has good customer service they are nice and helpful there area is good like they have a grocery store in there as well And there bathrooms are very clean they also can give you boxes and bags there tables are very clean they have a water place with cups and a fountain and the way you get your food is by them calling out your name from the speakers and you go there and get your food. They also have many types of food like Dosa,Papri chaat and others.

Very good place to have Indian food. It's well maintained, spacious indoor seating and there are benches outside too! Even though the place is crowded they have an organized ordering system.

The food is served in steel plates which is definitely a PLUS! We ordered Sev Puri, Pani Puri, Vada Pav, Chai and Sitafal milkshake. Except Chai everything was good! (We have very demanding requirements for Chai so we hardly find the perfect Chai outside).

The Sitafal milkshake was excellent. After many years I tasted this fruit and felt HOME.

They have a grocery shop too so you can have two things at one place. MUST TRY INDIAN RESTAURANT In the north Bay area. Only con is they are open only until 7.30 pm so most of the time, we cannot make to place because of the timings.

Disappointing. If you like your food to be cold and overall want an unpleasant experience make sure to come here.

Service 1/5
Not very friendly. Everything is self service and the staff are rude. Will not help me with finding take out container. People also cut the line to pay for food and the person who takes the order does not do anything about it.

Food 3/5
Quality and flavor is good. Not too salty or greasy. However, everything was cold as if it sat on the counter for 20 mins just like the people. Nothing is made or even reheated to order. Only hot thing was samosa with chole. Chapati is cold. Chicken curry is cold. Everything cold. Tandoori chicken is very dry and cold.

Overall do not recommend. Disappointing since food would be good if it was made hot and the service was better.

The dahi batata puri fell short in the flavor, which was quite disappointing. Ordered Sev puri but got sev papdi, another miss.

The experience with the chole bhature was a bit mixed. Unfortunately, the chole lacked flavor, but the bhature made up for it with their fluffy and generously-sized servings, becoming the highlight of our meal.

The tea was very watery and tasteless.
Drove an hour to this place but it’s very disappointing.

Plus points - Service was fast, lots of parking, decent rates.

The chole and bhature were a mixed experience. While the chole was disappointingly flavorless, the bhature made up for it with their fluffy and generous size, making it the highlight of our meal.

Moving on to the dahi batata puri, I found it to be lacking in flavor as well, which was a letdown.

The khema samosa was a heavy and meaty delight, perfect for those who enjoy a meatier taste in their samosas.

The vada pav, while edible, fell short in terms of authenticity. It lacked the signature Mumbai sukha chutney, and the pav was overly crispy.

If you're located in the South Bay area, it might not be worth the drive to this place. Overall, I might consider returning here if I had no other options available, but it didn't leave a lasting impression.
