Royal park is one of the most beautiful park I have visited in Melbourne. Me and my niece went there on a Saturday. We had fun together. There were a long pathway to walk. The cleanliness is also appreciable. An awesome place to sit with family, friends or even you can enjoy your own company šŸŒ

Spacious park and very relaxing to walk in the green among the city. You can meet some cute dogs along the way or simply say hi to the people who walk by.

Iā€™ve lived in metro Melbourne for 5 decades and other than to take our kids to the very good nature playground a couple of times I never set foot here. It didnā€™t draw us to visit during Covid times when we had exploration limits. It has some great native Melbourne flora and grassland patches. Needs a good cafe, lots of labelling of the notable old gums and estimates of age, wide open paths around the entire perimeter. Unsure why the wide open space in the middle is so empty? I was surprised at how big the whole park precinct is.Good to see a review of the master plan is in trainā€¦lots of hidden parts due to landscaping and visibility issues and should be brightly lit at night.

Wide open space with many pockets of fun. Good for the old and young. It also has a water play area that kids love, pumping up water and unblocking dams
Such lovely parks so close to home. Very lucky, lots of great work going on with projects. A fun walk and beautiful to get fresh air on an early Spring Day.

Massive sprawling parklands and grassland area so close to Melbourne CBD. These gardens seem to go on and on. In some respects, the park is not particularly flashy, but on tthe other hand they are one of Melbourne's best kept secrets - offering an escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Right near the Zoo, University of Melbourne and the Royal Children's Hospital. Accessible via tram, but best enjoyed on foot.

Royal Park is where the Royal Children's Hospital used to be. It is now a beautiful park, with a large playground, sand pit, and lot and lots of trees, green grass and hills.
You could very easily spend a few hours here. There are public toilets there, and a map at each of the entry points.
It looks very popular, lots of families, lots of kids. Street parking that is free on the weekends.
