Parnell Beach

A hidden gem on highway 55. It's a blink and you miss kind of place. If you don't know what's there, you will miss it. What a great place to enjoy the payette River. It's first come first serve with limited parking, but if you can find a spot it's great.

River was beautiful. Minivan in parking lot made me feel uneasy. Didn't stay long, nor did I venture anywhere.

Kids loved it especially since there's a good sized 3 foot pool coming off of the river thats safe for the kids to splash around in

Summer tradition. It's always amazing no matter how empty or packed it is (except for when the dogs poop in the water near you or try to get into your food or shake their water all over you 😅). We are usually the last ones left on the beach. We bring our sandwiches or BBQ sometimes to make some hot dogs or even carne asada. Can't miss jumping off of the rock and getting the first sunburn of the year. My big kids still love building sand castles (brings back memories of when they were small 🥹). The beach this year is perfect, and the little swimming hole is just deep enough to not touch in the middle.

The last time I was here, a friend had her car window broken, and her purse stolen, 3 years ago.
This last time was calm. Random floaters and kyakers, and a little fishing.

It was so nice. Water wasn't as cold as I thought it was. It was amazing. Nobody was around, so my kids and dog got the run of the place. It was beautiful.

Chill little spot... Not to far from anything. Great for a quick little adventure. 😉✌️ Traffic noise is the only downfall.
