This is a great Tavern! My husband and I stayed around the corner on our honeymoon and came to the Tavern everyday! Athena was our server I apologize if I spelt your name wrong. You invited us to your Christmas party and we had a blast just a day after our wedding. Thank you for our memories and the Philly cheese steak was the best we had! Please ask for Athena she make the best drinks! Thank you for our margaritas on the beach. We will definitely be returning on our next adventure! Thank you for your hospitality

Half good half miss is the overall takeaway...

Problem is the half miss is the meat!

Chicken piccata sauce had great deep flavor and perfect piece of garlic bread, good pasta portion as well...I even sucked those lemons (awkward)

BUT THE CHICKEN was grilled and cut in strips belonging on a salad, not a proper piccata at all...and don't cut my goddam chicken...! Also one small breast vs two is kind of ripoff

The buffalo wings were ok, flavor was basic and 3 of them were little chewy. The blue cheese was good though, like when they add the chunks, makes me more forgiving.

Idk on this one lol. Would crave the piccata if the chicken was done right.

I had the most delicious fried mahi mahi taco at this fun sports bar. The staff were friendly and attentive. The crowd was relaxed but cheering on their beloved Padres. A great place to hang out, have dinner and kick it with friends.

We landed on this spot because they were showing fights, and the food sounded good. We were very pleasantly surprised.

The ceviche and coconut shrimp were so delicious we actually ordered them twice. The ceviche had a ton of flavor and the coconut shrimp was sweet without being overly sweet.

We finished our night with the churro waffle. It was so good the only picture I took was while our group was devouring it.

Highly recommend!

We went in for a quick delicious happy hour. Nice environment, great location and friendly service:) Been before…food is great, apps are awesome and drinks even better. Such a nice La Jolla staple for elevated bar food!

Have been here twice within a weeks time. The first time we met around 20 people here for a big office gathering after five. The group ordered tons of different drinks and some food items. Nachos, fish tacos, fish and chips. We ordered fish and chips and they were so good. Great tasting fish and the batter wasn’t too heavy and had great flavor. So, we came back the following Friday for lunch and had more fish and chips. You’ve got to try them! So good!
Fantastic restaurant that's extremely delicious! We were out walking around the beach and got a bit hungry so headed up the hill a couple blocks and found this place.

We love outdoor dining and saw they had tables outside. One thing led to another and then we were stuffing great food into our faces.

The menu has many options but we opted for an appetizer which was The Gilroy garlic cheese curds and they were very tasty. If you've ever had the cheese curds from the cheesecake factory, think that but better! Also the photo showing the cheese curds is missing quite a few cheese curds because I forgot to take a picture before we started eating them.

We were both out walking around and so we opted for salads. I got the surf salad with ahi and it was mighty tasty. I got the wasabi vinaigrette dressing and it had a small kick to it but nothing too spicy and it complimented the flavors of the Ahi and the grilled veggies that are mixed within the salad.

My fiancee went with the Cobb salad with the cilantro lime vinaigrette dressing and that was also delicious. She got chicken in hers and the chicken was cooked perfectly.

We will be heading back there again so I will update with what other goodies we try when we actually dig into their plates and such. They do have other things such as fish tacos, wings, ceviche, burgers, pasta and more.

It wasn't that busy for a early September Saturday and there was open tables around 1: 00pm. Although people did start coming in right after us.

I was also surprised with the cost as it was not that expensive for the two salads and appetizer with a soda and a tea.

Definitely a new favorite that we will back too.

Update #1: tried the buffalo chicken sandwich with cheddar cheese and regular fries. A+++ / also tried club sandwich with steak fries, also A+++. Great food!

Update #2: Tried the fish tacos. Also most excellent! The lady stuck with the Cobb salad with the cilantro lime dressing so nothing new on her side. Added photos of the delicious fish tacos.
