Bucket list item officially crossed out. I was able to experience an amazing match at the world-famous Estadio Azteca, Cruz Azul vs America. The fans provided an exciting atmospheres and there was no shortage of goals!

Attended a fútbol game here. It’s pretty straightforward and seem-less to get through on a weekday with less popular teams playing. We ended printing the tickets out at an office max since for about 10pesos since we were having problems with the Ticketmaster app. The only confusing part when entering was that since we had seats on the middle side of the stadium they kept directly us to either side as labeled on the signage but then refused to let us in on one side and directed us to the other side for which we had already been turned away and told to go to the other side. No language barriers involved as we all spoke Spanish, it just seems like the staff was confused on what side to let us in through. Small bags seemed to be allowed but no umbrellas. They had plenty of snack options (popcorn, ramen, chips, nuts, beer and Coca-Cola). If you have the FanID app it makes it easier for you to get in quicker, since it seems they just scan your face and run it through their system.

The stadium is impressive, the tour is super complete, it's a pity they didn't take us to the dressing rooms of the men's team, they explained a lot of the history and details of the stadium, the only thing missing was a little bit of kindness from the guide.

Great place if you are into football history. The tour is mainly in spanish. Entrance is at Puerta 2, near the 7-eleven and a gas station. It seems like they do tour until 17h and you just need to show up. 150 pesos to be paid in cash only. You‘ll visit the media area, lockers rooms and the pitch (without going on the grass).
They could do a bit more about the history in my eyes, only have 5-6 pictures, but oh well, we all know it ;)

A dream come true. This was truly an experience to remember from the time you walk to get in line. The atmosphere was impressive. Although the seats are far from the pitch, the view was still good.

I only saw from outside but it's still cool. The clothing in the Club America store is expensive though. For some pants, they were like 1,500 Mexican Pesos
