Hunan Bistro

This place is a hidden gem. As visitors from Chicago, my girlfriend and I wandered in by chance. The place was small and quiet and we were the only ones there, and didn't expect much. But wow was the food amazing! We ordered dan dan noodles, soup dumplings, tangerine chicken, Mao's red braised pork belly, and beef with green pepper. All of it was delicious, even as leftovers. And the price was low, considering NYC expenses, the amazing quality of the food, and the atmosphere! If we're ever in town again, we would definitely make a special trip here again.

A great restaurant for tasty Chinese food. Great menu with lots of pics. The Dan Dan noodles 🍜 here don't really come with much meat. Mainly just the oil sauce. Fried pork belly was great. Definitely a large helping. Serving sizes here are quite large! The atmosphere is modern but somehow very small.

The food came quick. The rice noodles were quite a bit softer than I’m used to and seeing as it was a rice noodle dish it left something to be desired. The flavor was nice though.

We were the only people eating in the restaurant at the time. Should have realized that it was a red flag. Food is EXTREMELY SALTY!!! The ingredients used is not fresh. I ordered the beef in the picture and the texture is extremely weird. I asked the waiter which part of beef it is. He said he doesn’t know. The dish has funky taste. Do not recommend this restaurant.

We got take out for dinner. The food was good and seemed fresh, and the delivery was relatively quick. While everything was tasty, it w we went very flavorful, could have just been the specific dishes we got. There’s a lot of variety of dishes and prices, so you can get a $10 vegetarian noodle dish, or a $30 beef dish. If you get a bunch of mains and starters though, it adds up.

I’ll definitely be back to try some more items . It was so good that I wouldn’t mind eating every meal for a week just to try the whole menu .

The only good thing was the wonton soup, and the young chow fry rice. As far as staff goes they suck, and over charge you. They lost me as a customer.

Yes, it has changed. Sam the Server is such a sweetheart he really really is. You can tell he enjoys his job and just wants to make you feel comfortable. I'm so glad that have changed staffed. Food is delicious, much better quality, quantity and precision. Sometimes to fast 😆, but delicious 😋.
