La Poule Noire

We loved it so much we went twice whilst on holiday. The food is absolutely delicious as were the wine pairings.
The service was excellent. Very informative and attentive.

Menü auch mit Weinbegleitung, professionell moderiert mit lokalen Weinen zu angemessenen Preisen. Ein absolutes Highlight in Marseille.

Best food in Marseille. It is classic with great service and nice atmosphere. The staff are efficient and good wine selection.

Great place in Marseille for a super dinner, we went with the full menu of starter, entre and dessert.

Staff presented each plate super detailed, highly recommend the place, specially the foie gras!

I would love to give 5/5 for everything. However, I must be real. The food is exceptional and the waiter was brilliant. But if the food doesn't come out from the kitchen on time, service levels drop. And this is what happened between our main and desert. The time delay was so great that the momentum and rhythm of the evening was lost. When this happened, guests started to complain about the heat, the lack of air movement, the comfort of the seats. Not Good! BUT I AM CERTAIN THAT THIS DOES NOT OFTEN HAPPEN AND WE WILL BE BACK.

All dishes were good! But the beef was a bit disappointing. We ordered a tenderloin beef steak but it was a wrong cut. It was tough with lots of tendon and ligament.

We had an amazing experience at La Poule Noir, extremely tasty food, different and complex flavours, incredible wine recommendations/pairing, excellent and friendly service. One of our best dining experiences in France.
