Mesita Garden City

The way the fajitas came out of the kitchen 3 MINS after I ordered it is NOT ok. Fajitas IMO should come out sizzling. Looks like they had it precooked, microwaved and served.

The audacity to have a price point of $30 for microwaved food (who knows how long it sat there for) check it out:
-Flavor is not even all that, food was dry.
-Pinch-size portion of protein: chicken & shrimp
-2 tortillas only?! (Also microwaved)

*Had to ask the bartender twice for silverware since the one they gave my friend and I were clearly dirty*

I’m huge on food. Just got back from Mexico actually and this is a complete steal. Terrible job! Will not be coming back.

The ambience and service were good. The food was fresh and waiter checked in periodically. Overall good experience.

Great food, service , and atmosphere. The freshly made quamole table side was excellent. Fish tacos and fajitas were great.

Energetic and fun vibe! Great food and great drinks. All drinks were made with real fruit juice and not mix, which makes a huge difference! The tropical drink was delicious. Guacamole was made fresh in the dining room and was very good. Tasty & fresh. “Mexican shrimp scampi” was so so delicious. The sauce on the shrimp was so tasty and the flavors were so succulent! The rice and zucchini made the dish! Shrimp were cooked perfectly. Really cute date night spot!

If I can give this place a higher rating than 5/5 I would. Was absolutely blown away by this spot. Customer service was spot on and we had Valentin as our server. He was helpful and we had so much fun at this spot. The food was so amazing and I recommend getting the queso Fundido and steak fajitas. Also you can’t go wrong with getting any of the drinks. Most dishes are delivered with amazing presentation. So happy we discovered this hidden gem.

Fun spot to visit. The frozen margaritas were strong! You do have to order from the bar in order to get any happy hour specials. All of our parties food & drinks were good. The table service was a bit on the slower side, but nothing unreasonable.

What a gem of a find. We wanted to try Mesita in Garden City and we’re so glad we did! The vibe is cool and everyone is welcoming. We came a bit early for dinner. Reservations are a must as it filled up fast for a Thursday. We had a shrimp ceviche for a starter and was surprised of the large portion. Fresh and delicious. I had the special - lobster quesadillas with a light slaw and my husband had the skirt steak with potatoes. Both delicious and our plates went back empty! Desserts were the tres leches cake and the churros with a Mexican chocolate dip. We enjoyed everything and washed it down with a red (drinky) sangria. Our waiter is Eric - another gem, so friendly, professional and his recommendations were spot on. The staff is great too. Thank you Mesita for a lovely date night! We will definitely come again!
