Santo Stefano Bell Tower

It is imposing figure by the church of San Stefano and it’s indeed (as you may see it from a far) crooked :)
It is leaning on one side and it’s hard to miss due to its height and, well… obvious crookedness :) It is, like the rest of Venice, built on the soft ground thus some tall buildings are affected by this potential effect. As per my research, it’s actively monitored and there is no danger from it at the moment.

Schön schief

Sin buscarla, recorriendo las calles y callejuelas de la ciudad nos encontramos con este campanario, hice fotos como recuerdo y posteriormente viéndolas con detenimiento observas que tiene cierta inclinación. Solamente la curiosidad hace que la contemples.

Beautiful architecture, but was told by guide that you cant go up it. Sad about that and the lean- I hope they get it sorted out!

On my first morning in Italy, I had my (late) breakfast in the piazza. Bruschetta with coffee. Beautiful, with sweet fresh tomatoes. It was a joy to watch this piazza wake up and come alive.

Schief - und absolut sehenswert!

Dieser Turm dürfte so nicht existieren!!! Bei genauem Betrachten sieht man, dass der Turm schräg ist, und das nicht zu wenig. Hinten wurden extra Stützen gebaut um den Pfusch zu vertuschen. Da Venedig jedes Jahr sinkt wird der Turm tendenziel auch immer schräger, da die Seite auf die der Turm überhäng stärker einsinkt als die andere. Der Hammer ist, dass dahinter normale Gebäude stehen die bei einem Einsturtz des Turms masiv beschädigt werden. Dieser Turm sollte für das wohl der Bewohner kontrolliert gesprengt werden. Der Turm ist an sich nicht speziel, deshalb 1 Stern.
