Love the trail. But did you lose your glasses at mile marker 2 on your way to Gus Fruh?

One of the best parks in all of Austin. An absolute gem. Hiking and biking trails as well as rock climbing and river fun.

This is a very beautiful nature trail. There are many trails to walk on. This scenery is beautiful.
Beautiful area, easy to walk trails that span for miles. Surprised how serene this area is being so close to downtown. Creek was dry in October, will be even more spectacular when the rain fills it in!

Great hiking with various swimming hole. Busy on the weekends when it’s nice out though.

Relaxing stroll through the trees close to town but feels remote. Small pools for cooling off or dipping your feet. Dog and child friendly.

Fun spot to spend an afternoon. There isn't much space for laying out and the rocks can be painful after a while. Area was clean and there weren't too many people when we visited.

On a recent (February 2018) trip to Austin my partner and I decided to pay a visit to this park. We hiked from here to Barton Spring and we're very happy with our choice. There's a decent amount of terrain and water further down. To my surprise there were several small caves along the way as well. It was about five miles round trip from the trail head to Barton Spring. I know I'll surely visit again in the future.
