Great Trail, good terrain and pretty river to walk beside

Great access to the Bruce Trail with free parking.

One of my favorite places, has a few side trails. Great place for barefoot hiking, beautiful bird sounds and great big trees.

Excellent track and dog friendly, too. Moderate difficulty and beautiful view of the valley and a stream. Definitely worth the visit to see fall colors.

At the start of the trail you can take a right and loop around back to your parking spot on 4th line. Take the left and you can see some rivers.

Great trail, nice elevation changes. We hiked to 3rd Line EHS and back, about 5km in 1hr 45min. We will be back!

I parked at this location on Saturday, April 24th, 2021. It’s just side of the road parking (as you can see the photo with my vehicle). When you go down the stairs there is a sign which says “Peter Beecham Side Trail”. I turned right from there and followed the path. Absolutely stunning! I loved this hike so much and actually there were lots of families and couples walking by. So I think it would be perfect for any hiker level.

I didn’t understand that I could actually loop around at one point, so I just continued straight and got to a point where I crossed a road - there were lots of cars parked there. And went over the ladder to continue on the trail. I realized I was not going to be looping back around so I turned around and followed the same path back to my car (you can see in my Apple Watch - walk tracker image I posted). Next time I will do the loop! I would highly recommend this hike!
