Pay And Park

This is about Pay and Park on Museum road.

Taking a bribe or damaging your vehicle is common here.

I had not noticed the pay and park and unknowingly parked there without taking the parking ticket. When I came back they had put a clamp on my tyre. I saw that the person who put the clamp was standing there only, all the time. I went to the booth and paid the fine.

When I went to the booth, he put a nail in my car tyre for refusing to pay him a bribe. I saw a flat tyre the next day and came to know.

The app is buggy. We couldn't pay for our bay and had to pay for another one. There was no person to help at that time. When we came back, a fine was waiting for us saying we haven't paid. Despite showing payment receipt and being within time, the person on ground harrassed us a lot. The app doesn't have a provision to enter vehicle number. They shd include it, so that we pay for the vehicle and not the bay.

No place to park 🙂

I was said to park my bike and note the number, It was the 1st time I came accross MUSEUM ROAD, No one directed me to collect the receipt, niether I saw any authorised employee of PAY&PARK, Instructions was given by a unauthorised guy friend of PAY&PARK employee. My bike was parked for more than an hour. When I returned back I saw my bike wheel was locked and they asked me to pay fine of rupees 250/- for not collecting receipt (which has to be collected within 5 min of parking). Even customer care was not supportive. I also saw they have similarly locked some 5-6 bike wheels. And When bike is parked no authorised person stands near the parking stand. This is how they make money.

Vehicles are parked haphazardly. There is an attendant who helps. Need to buy pre paid hours. If you exceed the time, they may take your vehicle away. So need to plan the hours of parking well.
