From Kota station, you can go to Manggarai station, which connects to the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Rail Link, allowing you to reach the airport.

Stations like Argo Cirebon have their final stop at Gambir station, and therefore do not come to Kota station.

Large train station with lots of history, there's plenty of food stalls and convenience store around. The connection to Transjakarta line is nearby making it convenient to get around also. This train station serves the Tanjung Priok line and the Bogor line, which is the terminus for both lines as well. Historical sites are few hundreds meters away from this station. Moreover there's the MRT gallery which houses excavated terracottas and the like from the current phase 2 construction.

One thing that needs to be criticised is the hard to find bathroom and it's quite the walk. Moreover, the platform has quite the gap and if you're on the other end of the train it's quite far to exit the station.

The station is a place steeped in history and is hailed as a highlight in every Jakarta travel guide.
Unfortunately, one has the impression that the building is not well maintained. Even the interior (full of colorful billboards, shops with obtrusive posters) is no longer a testament to its past importance. It is a pity that more and more of Jakarta's traces in world history are fading and irretrievably lost to the children of tomorrow.

💢 One of the train station that are still maintaining its architecture. Jakarta Kota is always known as the Old Jakarta or Old Batavia. The station is big & spacious. There are also shops around.

💢 The interval of the train depends on the route. Some are 5 minute interval some are longer. You may download the KRL Access app for details.

‼️ The charge is only for IDR 3000 to Mangga Besar Station & most route start from IDR 3000. Very economical way to commute. But you will have to buy the card from the counter (30K) which last for lifetime & minimum top up of IDR 10K, total of 40K.

1. announcements from speakers are too loud, fast, and unclear. Quite hard to hear that. Sometimes the speaker shouted. Please be more patient and speak clearly. thanks
2. It's a bit hard to find directions and/or signs.

One of station in Jakarta that still maintaining its old building structure. Mostly use for commuter line. But there's also long distance train here. The place located in city center, pretty much close to many tourist attraction.
Place spacious, parking lot limited and inside the place, there are plenty of shops for you to eat or buy things from mini market.
