Parksville Beach is so beautiful! The receding tide is amazing and allows you to explore areas you never thought possible.

There are so many lively sea creatures here to discover and observe.

The sand is soft and great for building sand castles.

Parking is easy as there's plenty in the lot and on the streets.

Great beach at low tide. And if you get lucky enough you may catch the sand castle contest

This beach is about 7 min away from where my parents live, so when we come visit we usually spend one of our Beach days here.

The tide is usually out, so there is a sandy beach (wet sand mostly)

You can walk really really far out before the water is even at your knees.

The water is cold. But you can swim in it, once you get used to it - or you just plunge in!

Walking out there is some seaweed and some shells etc in the water amongst the sand. Water shoes would help.

Be careful of when you leave your items on the beach.

Besides the risk of theft which doesn’t seem very likely, but you never know….

The tide can come in slowly, and before you know it, your bag, towels and other beach essentials may be covered in water.

Other then the water, there is a really great park with lots of cool equipment.

There is also a splash park (open 12-4 currently) an outdoor gym, flush toilets / changing rooms, and a variety of vendors with refreshments.

Walking distance to many shops and stores downtown.

Also there are beach front cabins & condos for rent, as well as an RV park.

If you are in the area, be sure to stop by!

Beautiful beach and recreational area. There is a walking path/boardwalk along the waterfront which makes it noce for those who have trouble on the sand and rock beach. There is a kids playground multiple sports fields, skatepark, and a big open field that isnperfevt for flying a kite!

Spent the afternoon on the beach in Parksville enjoying the view and bird life. Easy access, lots of parking. It was nice to see that there is a walking path along it if you don't want to walk on the actual beach,

Packed with families having an awesome time.. there is a wonderful sand sculpture exhibit/completion -paid entrance- the water park is open and full of glee and merriment.. the tide was low.. really low.. super low.. had to walk a long distance to get to the water which was shallow till about 2pm.. then the water started to slowly come back in.. wonderful time over all.
