My mother-in-law lives here and every time we've come we've had a very positive experience. Seems like a great environment.

My parents have been living at the Gardens for a while now. It is a beautiful place with caring nurturing staff. We recently moved my Mom to Assisted Living and my Dad to Longterm care. We feel so lucky and grateful that they were able to stay at the Gardens for this transition into further care. Both moves went smoothly and we feel that our parents are being exceptionally well cared for. We have had experience with other similiar facilities in the area and can say with sincerity that The Gardens is heads and tails above the rest. Thank you for the hard work you do to keep your residents comfortable, happy and safe!

We are very grateful for the amazing medical staff on the 3rd floor of The Gardens at Qualicum Beach. We feel blessed that dad is there and very well cared for. Dad's nurses call and keep us up to date with any changes. If we have questions the nurses are quick to get back to us.
The staff take the time to speak to each resident and you can see they are cared for as if they were family members. The kindness that is shown to dad does not go unnoticed by us.
Thank you all very much, words just do not say how much we appreciate all of you.

It’s really sad to see this place that was once beautiful and staffed with caring people changed so much.
I know my loved one is often ignored or left for hours in soiled pants. It’s not that the workers are negligent, it’s that they don’t have enough! There are not enough workers to manage all the needs of the patients.
The owners seem to spend constantly on redecorating. I am so put off by the white walls and hideous ‘art’. This is not a warm and inviting place like it once was. If only the owners would invest in their staff team! Maybe staff members would stay longer? Maybe the truly caring and dutiful staff wouldn’t constantly leave to have a better work environment.

This used to be a happy place. Employees enjoyed their jobs, residents were entertained and listened to. The new owners have, just like their other assisted /long term care facilities on the mainland, run this place into the ground. Everyone, employees and residents are miserable. The owners don't consult anyone when they make changes. New institutional white paint no one asked for, new carpet no one asked for or needed. Key members of the company have been fired or more often than not, forced to leave. And in many cases, not replaced. Currently working with local news agencies to expose this place for what it is. This is exactly what profit over people has become in our day and age. The Gardens, thanks to the new owners, has become nothing more than an institution, where nobody has a say other than the owners.

My mother is a resident. I came to visit her. I have been a care aide for a long time .I know the job well and all I can say is that when I left my mom I knew she was in good hands the staff were really good to me and my dog. Our job is very hard and rewarding at the same time .I would like to say to all the staff kitchen, house keeping, maintenance thank you for the great service you give to all the residents and to Zoe my mom. My father spent his last 6 months at the Gardens in complex care. He was quite content and made the most of the situation. My mother has been in independent living at the Gardens since November 2015. My 2 sisters and I have concluded that this is a wonderful facility. Physically, the care has been excellent in all respects. Psychologically, the atmosphere in the facility is positive and friendly with all sorts of interesting activities. I'm always amazed that they can provide a facility this amazing with the limited funds that they have available.
