This place has everything it needs to be a 5 star course...except maintenance. Save your money - honestly. Half the greens are infected with fungus and are awful, awful condition, but the fairways? These are some of the worst fairway conditions I've ever seen on a golf course full stop. There are holes where the grass is non existent or just patchwork. You can fully expect to be playing your shots through hard pan clay, mud and standing water.

The bunkers here are an absolute joke. The "sand" is more like unscreened driveway aggregate. You will 100 percent damage your clubs playing out of this garbage, as every single hole is full of rocks.

One of their "signature" holes that features a massive Scottish links style deep bunker is lined with giant rotting beams that havent been replaced since the turn of the century. If you're unlucky enough to end up here, you can chowder up your ball on the bunker sand / 60 grit sandpaper. Horrible.

The tee boxes are no better, several of them have been decomissioned because they are just clay mounds in favor of dirty old outdoor hitting mats that won't take tees.

Other oddities include confusing signage such as "do not drink the water" right next to a sign that reads "potable drinking water bottle fill station" next to a yellowing schedule 40 pvc pipe sticking a foot out of the ground with a dirty old home depot ball valve on it, teeming with an inviting layer of green mold.

Having said all that, this course absolutely has immense potential if this course ever decided to spend more than 100 dollars a year on maintenance - the wildlife, tree lined fairways, and interesting doglegd would make this a very challenging and fun course.

The staff here were also super friendly and hardworking. It's pretty clear that the main problem with this course is it's horrible management.

I'll play it again sometime soon and happily ammend my review should things change.

Great layout! It's a tough course. I think the slope is too low compared to other golf courses. Right now Morningstar is a 3 rating because of overseeding and punched fairways. There are a lot of patchy areas due to lack of watering. Too many IMO...The golf course has not reflected the course condition in the current October rate. Disappointed.

Course was in nice shape after a few rain events. Hitting off of mats already on a couple of holes. Greens had been punched recently, but other than the first hole, were very puttable. Shot my best round of the year, and my lowest 9 ever (40 on the back). Love this course.

The quadrant system the Marshall said was awesome needs to come to a stop nobody likes it. The price is too much for the concrete sand traps but it is a fun challenging course.

Nice layout, lots of interesting holes. Course is in good condition even though it has been very dry the last weeks.
Pace of play could be improved, there has a marshal been driving around and was aware that we and at least the flight in front all all in the back had to wait on every tee box for some minutes. Then we where let trough by the flight in front and they're flight in front, and there has been nobody for the next two holes. So marshal should definitely have told them to go faster and stop drinking alcohol!! (as this is forbidden originally on this course)

Had a wonderful round last week. From the pro shop staff to the starter to the grounds crew, we felt very welcome. Despite the fairway issues (irrigation system is currently under repair) the course was a pleasure to play.....and with the fairways so dry we were able to get longer rolls off the tee boxes.....a "win win" in my books. Greens were in great shape. Very walkable course as well although the distance between holes sometimes can seem a bit "daunting". Overall, very happy with our experience at Morningstar and will most definitely return. Hopefully the irrigation system repairs will be complete by our visit....

Beautiful 18 hole golf course that's well maintained and challenging to play for the average golfer. Good facilities with a pro shop, restaurant, driving range and putting greens. Phenomenal to ply at sunrise, as the name suggests. Many of the holes are lined with homes, so be careful when you're driving off the tee box as you may put a ball in someone's living room.
