Cedarwood Plaza

I would've gave this a zero star review but there's no option. I tried to apply for a cleaning position here and never in my life have I experienced the attitude from both women that picked up the phone. Once I get transferred to the Second Lady she's just says "well who is this" well it's someone that wants a job and can provide excellent work ethic but I am not going to be talked like im just an nusiance when you guys are looking for people to hire. By the other reviews posted im not surprised I had the experience that I had, for a nursing home to have poor reviews is pathetic and I can't imagine attaching my name to that so with that being said I hope they get new staffing and turn this company around for the better.

I worked as an agency nurse in 2021 and swore NEVER to return again. Word spread and the nurses that knew the place frm my agency were not picking up hrs. Tried to bait with extra bonus but that did not work cz the condition of the place and staffing issues. It was like a horror movie.

My mother was staying in Cedarwood Plaza for about 2 & 1/2 weeks until yesterday 7/9/2023 (Sunday). I took her out after my children and I were overcome with the stench of urine. We then noticed a pile of soiled linen sitting in a chair with gnats all over it. I walked back out of the room and got a staff member who claimed she was going to go get my mother’s aid. That woman then came in and grabbed the soiled linen and left back out. I went to hug my mother and realized she smelled of urine also. I then took her out of the facility.
Something has to be done about this place.
I wish there was a way to leave zero stars.

Cedarwood Plaza provides quality care, has a family oriented atmosphere and a very effective therapy department. They were quick to make accommodations
needed. I definitely recommend this facility for your loved ones! Amazing staff and service! Employees that really care and are kind.

My family had a rough start/misunderstanding when my mom was admitted to the facility, fortunately we were connected directly to the facilities director of nursing. She took the time to hear the concerns, validate our feelings, clear up any misunderstandings as well as go through the process of problem solving/increasing our comfort and understanding of what to expect with our loved ones care. She showed patience, empathy and care. I really appreciate the effort and time she took to make us apart of the process of navigating my mothers recovery process!

This place has some redeeming qualities and decent people but as a whole Its pretty terrible. The culture is fueled by laziness and apathy. It took them 2 1/2 hours to print our my discharge papers and they insisted I come back the next day for my meds when they could have just called them in over the phone. In the 3 weeks I was there I saw the actual Dr. One time for about two minutes and nothing he said actually wound up happening. After having my own room for 2 1/2 weeks they came in my room one morning to tell me I am changing rooms and going to have a roommate so they could make my room an Isolation room for new patient. I didn’t let this happen but they tried.
This place is Bush League at its best. The Therapy people are nice but you only get about 20 minutes a day and yes. The food here is horrible. If you wind up there you will know quickly who is good and who isnt.

Everyone seem to be very nice and pleasant.
It seem like they all worked together as a team in carrying for the patient's.
The nurse explained to me why the patient that I was visiting couldn't have a lot of fluids and was very nice in doing so.
So over all I would say they deserve a B rating.

Overall it was a good experience. Facility was clean. Staff was friendly upon entering, sign in process was easy. Nursing personnel, patient assistant & rehabilitation team was very professional & courteous. Outside Phlebotomy contractor raised some concerns re patient safety. Was overall pleased with my Sister's condition upon leaving.
