I loved it here because it was unique to a friend of mine.

Great little area with a paved loop. Out of the way, so there aren’t very many people. The loop is about 1 mile long, so if you’re looking for a short, serene walk/run - this is the place.

I don't really want to rate this. I would like to keep it the secret that it is. Great paved path thru some oak woods and restored prairie. A gem of a park in the heart of the Cities.

A gentle paved walking trail. The short loop takes 20 minutes at a steady pace, the longer route takes about 30 minutes. I saw deer and birds.

We visited in late July. There was a nice mix of wildflowers and seed heads and lots of pollinators (butterflies and bees) and insects (dragonflies, damselflies, beetles, and grasshoppers) to observe. The path was wide and paved (meaning one can steer clear of tick habitat) and we didn't see one biting fly, gnat, or mosquito. There were some slight hills but I wouldn't consider this a difficult hike at all. We passed two benches and there might have been a third on a loop we didn't walk. People do bird here but this wasn't a good time of year for birding. Nonetheless, we saw a few goldfinches, indigo buntings, native sparrows, cardinals and a variety of other common summer birds. The noise from the freeway is loud at the beginning of the trail but it is greatly diminished further into the park. All things considered, we enjoyed our walk here quite a bit.

I’ve enjoyed watching the progress of the restoration of this area. The paved walking path offers recreation of bikers, walkers and your leashed pet. A variety of flowers and plant life bloom along the paths and there are fenced off areas that have sensitive growth and restoration happing inside. please remember to stay out of these areas.

This park is very hidden away and not known off very often as other parks I've visited. I have more to see.
