Beautiful place to visit to see murals and walk around. The Indian River is right up against it as well. There are many cute shops and restaurants to visit as well.

This is the heart of historic Melbourne. It is the first area settled. Highland avenue has numerous properties built in the early 1900's when the railroad engendered boomtime was at its height. Highland avenue now has these buildings with many explained by cute blue plaques in front. The shops along the avenue are few but quaint. The Rossetter House Museum close to Montreal Ave. is good visit to get it's history and a history of the area.

Nothing interesting going on here. The shops selling the “fine art” are basically selling junk necklaces and wood statues you can find in most souvenir stores. The paintings are basic and you can find the same level of originality and talent in your local “Home Goods” store.

Great Place! Definitely a lot of small artesian shops, cool bars and restaurants all within walking distance of each other. I love the older homes in the neighborhood with character. Way underrated. this place is up and coming!

Ehhh... just a small park with a few benches. Small amphitheater. Not much to see, not sure what was historical. Maybe George Washington sat on a bench here in his way to the beach.
