TSUBAKIYA CAFE Ginza Shinkan

Nice old Japan style coffee shop, ice coffee and cake are worth to taste, cake didn’t not have too much fancy stuff on topping but the black tea flavor is mixed well👍

A bit expensive, but if you choose set menu you can save a little money. Staff is great, place is great, late is great, but hot sandwiches are even better.

I usually recommend Tsubakiyama chains but I waited forever to be served simple cup of coffee

This chiffon cake is flat like a serviette and costs 715 yen.

Royal Copenhagen tea cup & saucer - a class of itself! Came down to the basement of Medi-ya Ginza Building for Tsubakiya Original Coffee & their in house Ashinaga Tea & Coffee Chiffon Cakes after our New Year party nearby. Since it was the first day of 2018, the cafe was less crowded & felt relaxed to sip at our own pace. Designated smoking room available at one corner of the cafe and there wasn't any awkward smell from the entrance up to the non-smoking dining area. Service was remarkable. Curved ceilings, specialized cabinets, stained glass windows & shelving truly bring charm to this cafe in Ginza.
