Charming venue whose attractions are unfortunately offset by utterly charmless landlord. I thought the beer was OK, although several of the group were less than impressed.

Some might question five atmosphere stars for a superb micropub with only four people in at the time, but from a standing start I was welcomed in to a wonderful conversation which led to much information and joy being shared. The epitome of a micropub.

Great experience and beer - plus a nice welcome and I'll definitely go again.

Strange little place but an interesting place to grab a pint. Landlord and locals friendly and beer ok, if not amazing. Real ale drinking in Worthing really is tricky. But at least this place doesn’t serve old flat Harvey’s 🤮

Great little place. When I say little, I mean little. Perfect for real ale fans. If you're shy or antisocial, this isn't the place for you. Also, no children allowed which is brilliant as I have two myself and just want to have a beer in peace and chat to random adults.

Fabulous, tiny micro pub along West Buildings just down from the seafront. Low ceilinged, tall tables and benches facing each other positively encourage conversation. The walls and ceiling are adorned with all types of paraphernalia and hundreds of pump clips, all of which have apparently been served here. There was a choice of three cask ales and four ciders, all of which are dispensed in the back room meaning there is no bar as such. Warm and cosy, dog friendy and Nigel the owner was only too pleased to chat for ten minutes. My wife and daughter in law had a medium sized glass of wine each, I had a pint, this came to a rather frightening £17.80, making the wine about seven quid a glass. The place calls time at 9pm with chucking out time half an hour later. Well worth a visit but if you drink wine, go prepared.

Small, intimate and such a friendly place. Lots of light hearted banter and everyone is really inclusive. Great local beers, wines and ciders. Reasonable prices. Close to the beach. It's the best Ale House I've ever been to. Certainly the best Micro Pub. Everything is from Sussex, it's about supporting local businesses.

A quirky micropub sourcing ale, cider and perry, from local sources. So too with wine, vermouth and gin.

It opens at midday and closes at 9:30 pm on weekdays ( not monday) and saturdays and 12 to 5 pm on Sundays.

Nigel takes good care of the casks and barrels and the relaxed atmosphere is a home to conversation. There is no tv, slot machine or juke box.

Reasonably priced, well worth a visit when in Worthing.
