Brought my son here a few weeks ago to get a singing bowl for meditation. The bowl doesn’t work properly (verified by his music teacher). Tried to do an even exchange with the original sticker with description of item still on bowl. Woman insisted on a receipt but then said she’d exchange it, this wouldn’t happen without a lecture of how any other time, a receipt would be necessary. I said I can do without the lecture, I’m a local, I’d like to shop here again but don’t appreciate the poor treatment. The white woman said “oh yes you do need a lecture and no don’t come back” as if to say I’m no longer welcome in the store. Well, don’t worry. I won’t be back. Visit Small Axe in watch hill or the larger version - the umbrella factory in Charlestown for meditative needs, East Asian imports, and KIND, PEACEFUL PEOPLE.

My 13 yr old daughter and her dad and step mom and younger siblings went here tonight while waiting for family for dinner at the steak loft. My daughter walked In and IMMEDIATELY the 2 women that were working there started loudly whispering to eachother... that my daughter was going to steal something! They were glaring at her and making false accusations! She is 13 and the kindest most caring person ever!... she would NEVER STEAL!! They ruined her entire night!. She came home nearly in tears. She has ZERO INTEREST in anything In your store. I might add to the 2 very rude ignorant women working there... that my daughter volunteers at a animal shelter once a week and in the summer cares for a senior citizen and also volunteers at a horse rescue because she loves helping others... and YOU ACCUSED HER AS A Theif!! We are locals... and lived here our entire lives. SHAME On YOU for what you did!. Ill be spreading the word

I am in love with just about every item in this shop. The woman running it was so sweet, funny and down to earth. I got many small trinkets for myself and my kiddos and will certainly be traveling an hour and a half to visit again! I wish they were on social media but it adds to the nature and charm of the store ❤ Highly recommended to everyone I know!

Fantastic shop. I love it, I drive all the way from upstate Mass for this shop. Owner is a super nice guy who gives Free Tibet stickers sometimes with purchases. He's fantastically kind and friendly. I would recommend this shop to anyone even remotely interested in Buddhism. Devouts and beginners are welcome and will find something for them.

I enjoyed window shopping here during the garlic festival and looking at all the little trinkets and figures for sale. The beautiful clothing was what really drew me into the store initially and a lot of what they sold looked and felt very homemade! The dresses felt like they were very comfortable and they had a lot of colorful and cute designs.
